About the Center

Founding Director

Dr.  Ma. Christina A. Astorga

Dr.  Astorga is the Founding Director the Center for the Study of Catholic Social  Thought. 

Prior to her new appointment, Dr. Astorga held the distinction of being the first layperson and woman Chair of the Theology Department of the Ateneo de Manila University—Loyola Schools. 

She was also a Visiting Scholar at Weston Jesuit School of Theology; Visiting Fellow at the Jesuit Institute, Boston College and also at Woodstock Theological Center, Georgetown University; Visiting Professor at the University of San Diego and at Canisius College.

Besides her work at the Center, she teaches moral theology at the graduate level.
